Turtle’s Flute

A Brazilian folktale
Once upon a time, on the banks of a river, Turtle played her flute. When
Turtle played, lions, elephants, butterflies, snakes and monkeys danced to
Turtle’s music.
One day, a man heard Turtle’s music. “Ahh,” he thought. “That must be Turtle
making music. Turtle would taste very good right now.” So he called out:
“Turtle! Show me your beautiful flute.” Turtle slowly walked to the door and
held out her flute. But the moment the man saw Turtle, he grabbed her by
the neck and began to run. Turtle tried to cry for help, but she couldn’t make
a sound. She closed her eyes, holding tightly to her flute for good luck.
When the man reached his hut, he put Turtle into a cage and shut it. Then
he turned to his children: “Don’t let Turtle out of her cage.” And off he went
to the fields. The children began to play outside. Turtle sat very still inside
her cage, thinking about the father’s words. She began to play a sweet tune
on her flute, and the children ran to the cage. “Is that you playing, Turtle?”
they asked, their eyes wide with wonder. “Yes,” Turtle said. She kept on
playing, for she could see the children were delighted.
At last she stopped. “I can dance even better than I can play,” she said.
“Would you like to see?” “Oh, please!” the little boy cried. “I’ll show you
how to dance and play at the same time,” said Turtle. “But you must open
the cage. There is no room in here.” So the little boy opened the cage and
Turtle began to dance and play. The children laughed and clapped their
hands, for never had they seen such a wonderful thing.
Then Turtle stopped. “Don’t stop!” the children cried. “Oh,” Turtle groaned.
“My legs are stiff. If I could just walk a little bit to loosen them …” “Don’t go
too far,” the little girl cautioned. “Come right back.” “Never fear,” said Turtle.
“You wait right here.” Turtle crawled off toward the jungle. The moment she
was out of sight, she raced all the way back to her house.
Nobody ever found Turtle again. But to this day, if you strain your ear, you

can hear the sweet sound of a flute in the forest.

Իմ տեղեկատվական մոլորակը-My information planet

Stars always appear in large nebulae. They mainly consist of hydrogen and space dust, the initial temperature of which is about -263 ° C. The initial material in space. As soon as such sauces of the material begin to gather together. At the center of such a formation, the gas is compressed, becomes hotter and hotter, and eventually its temperature and pressure increase so much that nuclear synthesis, the union of hydrogen atoms, begins. But the stars are not eternal.Eventually, the hydrogen resource in their core is depleted. Then the size of the star changes and it gradually dies. The old stars swell, transforming into red giants, which disperse some of their glowing gas into space in the form of giant, foggy rings, gradually freezing.

About the oldest Japanese dessert Mochi

As part of the ethnographic festival, it is planned to make Japanese Mochi or Moti (as the Japanese say), which looks like small colored balls. This is a completely different dessert for our culture. Mochi is even mentioned in the oldest Japanese literature ever found. Its history dates back to the 8th century, and its popularity is growing even today. To make this dough, the rice is boiled, crushed to a puree, and then dough is made from it.

Mochi is also called dough, this type of dough has a key place in the Japanese menu, it is considered the main ingredient of Japanese sweets. The Japanese love nacho ice cream, which is very simple to make: ice cream balls are put in the dough, covered with syrup or glaze.

In Japan, this dessert is prepared all year round, but especially on New Year's Eve, the demand for this sweet is growing sharply. The people of Japan believe that eating mocha on New Year's Eve will bring good luck and prosperity in the coming year. In ancient times, people used to make long ropes out of dough, which symbolized the longevity of people. Mochi can be eaten by people on an empty stomach, as it does not contain dairy products. In addition to being delicious, this sweet is healthy. Doctors advise not to eat all those who have problems with the heart, blood and gastrointestinal tract. Mochi has a well-known feature. Since healthy, beautiful teeth have long been considered a guarantee of health and longevity, people ate dried mocha dough, which gave the teeth strength.
There are legends about Mochi. A Japanese man decides to choose mochi as a target for shooting, when the arrow hits it, it turns into a white swan, flies away. Soon all the rice fields in the area are drying up, and people are starving. According to legend, people understood that rice and dishes made from it should be treated with respect.
